Sounds like he's still backing Radford to me.

Can't he see - as a people manager himself - that if the players aren't responding to the coach then they aren't buying into what that coach believes and is telling them. Or that they have no respect for the coach for whatever reason.

The questions Pearson should be asking are Why are the players not responding, why are they not happy and why are they wanting to leave the club?

As I said earlier, I can put up with turd performances, turd players and turd coaches. That's sport, it's cyclical and we've no divine right to win every game. I've always maintained when criticising peoples one-eyed rants about Radford or Yeamo that they were only part of the issues at the club, the main one being Pearson's mismanagement.

As will most of the people on this forum. It certainly doesn't mean that we condone AP's actions (or in Radford's case inaction).

Devastated by this news. Absolutely loved watching the 19's/20's over the years.

Maybe I'll feel differently in a couple of years, but there's no chance I'll be supporting this. Sad day indeed.

In a kind of perverse way, this proposal has brought the red and white and black and white sides of Hull together in agreement

They agree that they both hate the proposed merger of the academies

May be worth reminding ourselves that at present we sit third in the U19s competition and looking very likely to make the top four plays offs. Rovers sit eight points behind us in seventh.

Financially it makes sense. But it defies the fact that our separate and oppositional identities define us. Removing this at grass roots is self destruction. Hideous day for both clubs.

The big question is not how many are there on Sunday, but how many are there next year?
The chickens will come home to roost once the season tickets go on sale.
