Thats actually a good call but wont go down well with the majority on here bench impact is very important and recently ours is zero so i would go further and have Griffin and Satae on the bench to give us some impact. The continued use of Johnstone on an already weak bench is something i cant understand given his time on the field has been limited in any case. If Hodgson is going to go down that road again then start Johnstone and let Danny Houghton come on off the bench. This way Houghton has looked a better and more refreshed player.
We need to start big and strong this week. Benching two of our better players won't help us do that.
Bowden needs to front up this week. He's a senior prop and should be looking to give us a lift when he comes on.
Saints had their best game of the season last week, we had out worst. Im hoping we respond well, and wouldn't want to shake the team up too much. But as you've mentioned we do need some impact from the bench.
Maybe something like this in the forwards and a bench of:
Satae JJ Sao Ma'u Griffin Lane
Bowden Fash Savelio Houghton
Although the thought of Fonua in the centres scares me a bit...
That's stronger than the side that beat Wigan in the quarter final. No need to move Griffin from centre, he's been one of the form centres in Super League this year,
Love a semi, parking at Leigh Miners. Really hope we turn up for this semi like we did against the Whino's at Donny. Time for Reynolds to show his class.
For those that have gone before. For those of us now. For them to come. Wembley beckons and another layer of tapestry in our great clubs rich history . COYH.
13 seconds against the vilest, and those who would rather hate.
Derby day - "To lay down life for friends, that is glorious, selfless, inspiring! But to re-enact the tragedy of Calvary, for generations yet unborn, that is the last consummate sacrifice of the Militant"..... Emily Wilding Davison.
I spoke to a lovely chap at the stadium this morning who explained the rules on refreshments today. In summary there will pre match Pimms-loading in the car park. Alarmingly though he said once you're in you can't leave.
