Surely we should know the rules? Why would we make a player available that would be ineligible?
Useless to us now if he can't get a game anywhere.

there's no chance we will get a points deduction as nothing that went on affected our performance on the pitch. It is more likely Donny that would get this as they could be seen to benefit, esp as they won their game

The RFL may be incompetent but they aren't completely bonkers. Trying to pin the penalty for playing an ineligible player on the team not responsible for picking that player nor benefiting in any way from him being played qualifies as completely bonkers in my book. And completely unenforceable.
