People clearly watch a different game to me, Seymour was far from his best today, but his kicking was good IMO, he repeatedly forced drop-outs from Saints with good kicks. He can't do everything on his own and not having a good partner in the halves limits his effectiveness.

I'm not even that sure about Horne for FB.



I'd try and sign a Fb as well (Kearney) and use Horne as a utility back.

I hope Gentle sees this as well and goes all out to sign a new 6 for the 2013 season. Horne has been way off the pace for a good three or more seasons now and he's become slow and stale at stand off. I don't think Seymour Can operate to his full potential without a quick thinking pacey 6 alongside him.

not only horne, i thought houghton had his first poor game for a while, constantly passing the ball right when we had all that possesion in the second half, the majority of our plays easily handled by the saints defence, soon as it came left we scored!

We need a recognised fullback and not Horney. It's a specialised position and it needs filling with an out and out FB. Horne should be used as a utility back if a place on the bench could be found for him.

horne was shocking today. Epitomised our whole performance with his lack of speed and ideas. As has already been said, I can't remember a half back being caught in posession so many times before. Having said that, much of the ball he received was absolute cack. Ball out of dummy half is pretty poor from us all of the time and as much as I like houghton, it is his biggest weakness

Manu, Whiting & Briscoe on our left flank should have had a field day with the possession we had. But they were starved of the ball for the whole game, which was criminal IMO.

Horne is my favourite FC player of the SL era, but I hope we have something a bit more special at 6 next year

I've been saying for the last 2-3 years that Horne is done at 6 and when it was announced that he was moving to fb I thought it's not ideal because he still isn't a top fb. But atleast he's away from 6. He should be a squad player from next season. He's not good enough to be a first choice player in any position for us imo.
