Is it true that Richard Agar's favorite movie of all time is Groundhog Day or does he just generally like the same boring s**t day after day, season after season?

: Sun Apr 05, 2009 5:18 pm
I am not talking about positves from today's game.

I am trying to gauge how many people feel that he has had a positive effect since he took over as coach. I will not nail my flag to the mast just yet on this forum, but anyone who knows me knows my feelings on this, but after having a pre season to work with and after a bright start, things just look and feel the same, only without the injuries.

Thats all well and good but then we'll just get another one man rugby coach in Jon Sharp.

The problem for me is the board, the cheap signings, the unsigned contracts, employing inexperienced coaches. The buck should lie with them IMO. Somebody posted on here during the week about if we had took on a world class coach when McRae left we'd have won the Grand final by now. Instead we've signed reject players from other clubs who have won nothing, employed coaches most people in the RL world ain't heard of.

That move cost us the game. Agar’s tactics of boring the opposition into a deep, deep trance were just about to come to fruition and would have seen us score 3 unanswered tries in the last 5 mins.

That wild and crazy play from the scrum that foolishly led to a try snapped Salford from the grasp of the trance and saw them come back to life and deservedly win the game.

Agar, will undoubtedly focus on our inability to win ugly yet again during this weeks training sessions. My advice to all fans planning to attend next weeks derby is bring a pillow with you, preferably one of those nice travel ones that fits around the neck.

Positives?

At least you didn't embarrass yourselves on national TV and make yourselves the laughing stock of the game like we did.

Scant consolation, I'm sure but you guys are still in a far better place that we are right now.

Manu's hair looks great!
Didn't pay for the game!
The less fans that turn up means the beer queues will be shorter!
Hopefully on that display, Moa will not be playing again!
Agar has shown that he has no idea!

That's the best set play from a scrum I can remember for a while. A shame we have to be really up against before they're willing to try that kind of stuff.

Because that's what tends to happen around here most of the time.

Plus I did say endless threads, as I was expecting a fair few to pop up around here.
