5 year deal is huge! I assume, from his perspective, that their is scope to alter the terms of his deal along the way? In a couple of years he could be an International and really should be getting paid to reflect that. From the clubs point of view its a great bit of business.

I think the deal will have triggers in it that say if he gets an england cap he will move onto the next bracket etc.

Rob Burrows thought the same when he signed a five year deal at Leeds and there is a common link here
