Thought the same myself, and remembered these comments on Briscoe by General Zod:

"The hard evidence was there for all to see - the kid does not have any significant pace so why can't FC fans like you just accept the fact?"

"I just don't think he's fast or agile enough."

There's some brilliant quotes there! Some people really need to refrain from setting themselves up for an almighty fall when it comes to dishing out daft opinions!

Tbf to Zod, they are mostly present tense statements from 2009, when Briscoe was picked by Tony Smith on potential rather than performance and it didn't go at all well.
He's excellent now though. Briscoe, not Zod.
