As quite a few on here have already said, probably the biggest plus point of the season so far has been the turnaround in fitness, attitude and commitment from the very depths of despair that we all plunged into last year.
Around this time twelve months ago there was a lot of talk coming out of the club about 'culture change'. This in turn was being used to excuse away the fifty point hammerings that we were having to endure on a seemingly weekly basis!
In the space of approximately half a pre-season Cartwright and his coaching staff brought about this so-called 'culture change' and, what's more, we didn't have to stand/sit through a endless series of ritual humiliations while they did it.
Amazing what happens when experienced people with a clear working plan are put in place in the right positions in a sporting club. Who'd thought it eh, experienced quality staff delivering on the job they set out to do while enhancing the business. I'm amazed no-one's ever thought of it before!!!
Let's be honest, we'd all have taken 11 points after 10 games if offered it pre season.
We need tomsort our discipline. No red card today and we likely win that game. No yellow cards v leigh and we probably win that game. With those 3 points we're clear in 3rd.
We have the most red and the most yellow cards in the comp. You can say some are harsh but the fact is that we're continually seeing penalised and they're not all wrong.
Add in errors and penalties, 6 against and we continually put ourselves under pressure.
Sort that and we'll win more than we lose between now and seasons end.
