Not sure we need Shorrocks, can't see where he would fit in.

If the quota rule comes in I'd go for Marsters, as could also play 6 and strengthens the centre position too, believe we made him an offer before he signed for Salford.

Him and Cross would be very good business.

Could we fit that under the cap though, as couldn't use the 3rd marquee.

Shorrocks is the bench 13 with a bit of versatility. Balmforth, Ashworth, Shorrocks & Aydin would be our bench

I wonder if we will make a move for Lam for 2026, I'd offer him a big 2 year marquee contract before he probably joins the new NRL PNG team.

Big advantage of Lam is non quota be could be a non fed marquee.

Wouldn't suprise me if Hastings becomes available mid season if he doesn't get in the first grade, something not right there if Gamble, Cogger and Crossland are playing before him.

I don't mind Shorrocks. He's a ball playing forward and could be a decent interchange for Asiata. Agree with Dave that I'm not sure we do exactly 'need' him but if he is available and we can fit him in while still picking up a centre and hopefully a half, then I'd welcome him gladly.
Asiata is likely to pick up knocks here and there so we need a solid replacement and Shorrocks plays the game more like Asiata than somebody like Fash does.

I agree, not the right fit for us.
Totally destined for Super League sooner rather than later.

Think there’s only Salford where he hasn’t fell out with someone.

I do wonder if the Salford sale will be as bad as people think, let's say they sell

That wouldn't be far off 800k with transfer fees and salary, investors come in and rebuild. They could still put out a competitive side with a few loans.

I'd be tempted to see if anyone wants Rowley too, as he will be a big salary and already moving upstairs next year.

Just read the interview with Salford's Paul King and he's hopeful that they will get an offer of investment through today to avoid any fire sale.
