we both said several months ago that we should make a bid to sign Broadbent but i guess even if there was interest the club didnt have the money.
He will be a star of the future and could have helped us also at halfback this season

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

We were pretty weak in the centres and 2nd row last season and this season we are even worse. We will certainly struggle to put points on anyone unless we can address that in some way this season given how limited we are in the halves.

Think it shows just how much damage has been done by Smith and the poor recruitment for an experienced guy.

Other than Ese’ese all the other quota spots were poorly filled. I do think Pele has potential but he needs working hard to get his fitness levels up. Brown was ok but was never a halfback and with Houghton & Smith was never going to be the answer. As for Okunbor that’s just a mind boggling one.

Myler and our incoming Coach whoever that ends up being have a massive task to sort the mess out that is the current squad and cap management.

Yep, could see why we didn't get him this season and probably lost out on him and few other domestic players due to the investment coming in a bit late.

Got to get what we can for next season to improve (that's why signing the likes of Briscoe, Aydin and possible Holmes makes sense), sign 4/5 quality quota players, aim for 6th next season and we should be in a better position to recruit domestically this time next year

Rovers announced the deal on their official statement. I’d be looking to keep Chamberlain, been impressed with him and then look to sign a quota centre.

Completely missed that, cheers.

Looks good defensively, wouldn't be against him as a back up centre/squad player

Yeah I’d see him as a Scott replacement.

McIntosh - Briscoe
Tuimavave - quota centre
N Brown - quota half back
Houghton - quota hooker
Okunbor - Holmes
Sao - Asiata
Hoy - quota second row
J Brown - Aydin
Scott - Chamberlain

We’d be in a lot better state if we use them 4 quota spots correctly.

If the quota spots are the right player I'd be happy with that.

Maybe need another hooker if Balmforth goes, unless we go with Cator/Smith or the club think Hodgson might be ready.

I really hope that if Cator stays we never see him at hooker. Can’t see Balmforth staying, should have had more games by now.

Agree on both, rather see Smith as hooker, with Hodgson playing the odd game.

Would suprise me to see Jeylans brother sign for us too.
