Good player would do well in SL, as said above would have to be at centre, where he has played alot of rugby.

Probably an overseas 7 and a couple of domestic forwards.

Not a bad 1st signing if I comes off for Myler who has no contacts or experience but still won’t please some on here. The other quota spot going to be interesting..do we go for a 7 or back row…depends if we go sniffing round Russell for the season or a quota 7 and 2 domestic forwards

This says to me the club are being patient and not rushing to fill positions for the sake of it.

Either that or the club panicked and signed the first player available. I think he’ll be a good centre for us. But it means this year we have Sutty, Carlos, Perham & Scott all under contract. A lot of cap and a position we actually have players in.

Next year Sutty and Perham which is a promising duo IMO.

Truey told me last week he’s back in 3 weeks which means either Leeds or wolves game. His nearing availability might impact our relaxed Stance on a 7 with how Charles has looked

I wouldn’t like us to rush into a 7 for the sake of it, if that means getting a Wakeham or Drinkwater type signing instead of waiting and getting someone better. Perham and a good second rower would improve us.

No suprise the defence out wide needs big improvement, with Carlos probably leaving as well as the defensively suspect Scott, this signing makes sense.

Been over to the canterbury forum, where they were on the money about Okunbor, said hes explosive, with good upper body strength. Hopefully defensively sound too.

Wont sit and pretend that I know a lot about Perham. But having read into the bloke he appears to be another jack of all trades, covering Centre, Full back and in the halves.

On face value, it looks like we haven't learned from our mistakes. I get that its a hard time to recruit but we currently need players that specialise in key positions, not someone who plays 'okay' in a host of positions.

What I will say is he looks quick and has good feet. I hope the intention is to play him in the centres, however i do fear that should he go into the halves that he could be another to struggle to make an impact in not a favourable position. Will obviously give him a chance if/when he is here.

Interesting to see that Sts have named Sam Royle in their squad for the game with us.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Drinkwater sign for us .

Wouldn’t be as against it on a short term basis but not long term.
