I still think Houghton would be decent coming off the bench, would be good against tired defences.

Hodgson's deserves next season, his hands are still tied, but we have to see some improvements particularly to our attacking play and his use of the bench.

Maybe it was just me, but watching it I wouldn't be confident of McNamara getting a new deal.

He was pretty non committal when asked about new signings etc.

McNamara went to a private school, so he played Union as much as league, he looks like a union half, I know he is young, but I've not seen anything in his game to suggest he will make a SL halfback.

Just seems very reserved as if he's scared to death to take a risk or try something creative, seems very rigid by the book. What type of halfback is he?
I've not seem him take the line on. I think a few of our young lads who have come in seem abit overawed. You look at players like welsby and Newman etc they want to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

The only youngsters ive seen lately who looks to have abit of fire in their belly and not look like rabbits caught in the headlights are Brown and Wynne

That’s what I think. Be good off the bench. Can also play 7 & 13 as well so provides good cover.
Just that he’s had to do it all in his own for years now. Been flogged to death.

I actually think Scott has improved, as you say looked nothing more than solid, last few weeks he has looked alot better attacking, made a few breaks, he has still work to do, but I think he could make a good SL centre. Hopefully the same will happen with McNamara.

I'd keep McNamara and try to farm him out to a league 1 or champ club for a season and see how he goes.

We need a better option for our halves cover at the minute.

Think Scott has done okay this season when asked to play centre/2nd row. He's got some stick this season and I don't think it's justified. The games he has struggled in is when he has had to cover on the wing.

Think he's off back to oz, Watson said all depends on if he wants to stay in the country.

Get the young lad from Saints, he l be raring to forge a career.
