Another great read Wilf and once again you've captured the mood of the Black and White faithful. We really are long suffering, but even with all the pain we seem to achieve more than our neighbours. Like you I will be signing up for my pass this week, although money is tight and would hope that as many supporters as possible do the same. Roll on Friday, lets have a big crowd and another win.

Some times I think when life see's that the Hull FC Faithful maybe just getting a little too excited, it comes along kicks us back down

Thank you for the posts, just been catching up after 3 weeks in deepest Cornwall.



In your post Wembley article you touched on costs, it cost me around £600.00 to get my family from St.Ives to Wembley and back with two overnight stays in Bristol. Whilst down there we bumped into half a dozen families who couldn't justify the trip to Wembley so it makes you wonder just how many would be at the final if its wasn't at peak holiday time ? I think all of us know good fans who couldn't get there because of family holiday's.



I personally was glad to get away from London and back to the sunshine where i reflected on yet another heart break trip. I concluded that we should be glad to have reached the final as this was more to do with an average team over performing to get there rather than a good team under performing on the day. As Tony Roberts (bass house) once said to me champion players win championships and realistically I don't see too many real champion players in our team, I do see two very average mid table half-backs and some good honest workers with a low skill base !!



With the exception of that short period in the early 80's how many times have we been a champion team ? not many, so its no surprise that illusive win remains a topic of ridicule.
