you know RLFans, sensible and obvious are ignored in favour of knee jerking and idiotic by some, even limited some of our own.

It should be remembered that Football Clubs travel to all parts of Europe for mid week games.

it should also be remembered that football is nowhere near as physical as RL, and the players are multi-millionaires, and the clubs are paid a minimum of £80m a year, hardly comparable.

To reconcile respect with practicality, what is the optimum speed for a hearse?

I was thinking more about the fans. Not the jessies who play the game. Having said that the travelling has the same effect on a person whether they are being paid £10 or £10,000.

As I said in an earlier post, I would be absolutely fuming if I had travelled to France and the game was called off.

It was. I can just about remember drinking sangria scooped from the bottom of an ice cream freezer at about 1am before trying to remember where we were staying in French for the taxi.

We stayed up all night as we were staying approx 40km away in Sete. Partied until 3am and loitered around the main square with other drunkards, eventually catching the train back to Sete at 6am. Shattered was the 'in-word' that day. Even thought the result wasn't in our favour and the poor timetable for transport effected us. I'd do it all again - But maybe drink a little less next time. 3litre plastic bottles of Sangria take effect after a while.

We visited Sete last year as we stayed in/near Montpellier for the game. Lovely place. Not quite as drunk as Beziers when I went either.

Re: Catalans Game to be rescheduled : Fri Feb 17, 2012 12:38 pm
It is going to be a disruption for people who wish to go to the game that work during midweek, unless they get the time off. As for a mid-week game in France for the players it would have the same effect if we played a midweek game against London or Saints for that matter. I don't see the problem other than 2 games in a week and a slight disruption for fans. The RFL should pull their fingers out and give us a date as soon as possible to ensure that fans can adjust and get time off work. Some fans are worrying too much. Its only France ffs. It's a few hours away not light years.

what difference would it make if SL players were multi millionaires ?

would they play any differently ?
