I still don't see the problem.
The club are tacking £1 onto the admission price for non-pass holders and donating that to charity. If you're not a pass holder and want to go to the game you don't have a choice whether to give £1 to charity or not, so what?
More money will be raised this way than a bucket collection, good on them I say.
The club didn't mention how the money was raised in the press release. Again so what? I really don't see how that article reads as if the club are trying to take the 'credit' away from the fans.
There are a damnsight more important things to worry about in this world.
