Magic Weekend already sorted

The 2023 Magic Weekend is likely to take place in Newcastle again, with St James Park the favourite to host Super League’s annual event.

Based on league positions, league leaders St Helens would play Huddersfield Giants, with Wigan Warriors facing Catalans Dragons. There is also a fiery Yorkshire Derby with Leeds Rhinos taking on Castleford Tigers, whereas Wakefield Trinity would play the promoted team.

Elsewhere, Hull FC would face Warrington Wolves, and Salford would take on Salford Red Devils.

2022 Magic Weekend Fixtures:

Catalans vs Warrington (1st v 3rd)

St Helens vs Wigan (2nd v 4th)

Leeds vs Castleford (5th v 7th)

Hull KR vs Hull (6th v 8th)

Huddersfield vs Salford (9th v 11th)

Wakefield vs Toulouse (10th v 12th)

By the same fixture formula 2023’s schedule would be:

St Helens vs Huddersfield (1st v 3rd)

Wigan vs Catalans (2nd v 4th)

Leeds vs Castleford (5th v 7th)

They will change that no local derbies to attract anyone. Not that I am a fan of travelling hundreds of miles to see a local derby. Anyway come on Batley but a spanner in the works
