I liked him. Lots of potential.

Rather look at Jack Ashworth if we are talking second rowers.

We don’t want Jack Ashworth, 5 years ago he was one of Sts great hopes alongside Thompson, Lees & Knowles but he doesn’t have their discipline in conditioning himself, learning the game and playing to instructions.

I’m just going on the few times I’ve seen him play this season for Hudds. If as you say is true then I’m sure Apelgarth will know that.

I guess that Apelgarth has an idea of a few he is interested in anyway.

Tom Garratt - big prop that KR paid a fee for was released due to concussion last month now fully fit to return after possible misdiagnosis. May be worth a punt. Kr fans seemed to like him. We need a couple of props too so may be worth a look.

Also they picked him up from Dewsbury so may be a local lad.

The reason Ashworth left Saints was due to off field matters - nothing to do with his on field performances or his development.

(And to be pedantic, Ashworth came through the Greenwood, Savelio, Richards era, rather than the Lees and Knowles era

As it stands what’s the team?

Only confirmed signings included no speculation or targets that aren’t yet signed!
No doubt the line up will change as we make confirmed signings but as of now I think it’s looks something like this
Jowitt
Kershaw
Lynne
Hall
Murphy
Kay
Lino
Bowden
Hood
Whitbread
Tanginoa
Ashurst
Crowther

Bowes
Windrow
Eseh
Battye

Don't forget Lineham who is only on loan to Fev and due back shortly unless extended etc.
