How often do you see players move on that are under contract where it states “mutual agreement”? Do you think ALL of these players are paid off?

Obviously they shouldn’t move others on as from memory, their injuries aren’t as bad as Bill’s at the age of 31.

Yes. Otherwise what is 'mutual' about it?

The fact that whatever is agreed suits both parties? You never know, should all this happen Bill could just be happy to get back to Aus.

Of course there might be a scenario where someone might want to go home so much they turn down their contract money but usually they would negotiate a pay oif to have a mutual agreement.

If he's just going home he could just do that without mutually agreeing it with the club.

And don’t forget with all this off season malarkey upon us with players moving on or in as the case may be ,the ongoing drama of Will Bill or won’t Bill. The club must think he’ll be okay or why show arundel the door ,who has covered well ,or have we a signing waiting in the wings ,I think that one is much too early to tell .We have I think an unusual situation where we have a ex coach on gardening leave ,which is obviously going to impact on player buying power in the short term at least .Exciting times ahead I’m sure ,and one I’m hoping gets off to a start like we finished this season ,with a good solid competitive team ,whoever is in it.
Hearing now through the jungle drum that Chester Is Leigh bound in some capacity on the coaching side ,good luck in your new adventure if true .

I don’t know what sort of drum you’ve got but you might need to update it. Leigh announced Chester yesterday.

Indeed.

For as long as MC has been in charge he’s followed the rule that you leave a little bit in the kitty and don’t blow it all at once pre-season.

Nobody has a crystal ball and who knows where we will suffer injuries. There are always loan players available as well as Championship players and of course Academy players. Ditto NRL players in fact mid NRL season is the best time to snag one.

Some fans on here panic endlessly wanting every position covered five times over. Apart from the obvious fact that we can’t afford it I don’t think too many players kicking their heels is a good thing should the team be doing well. It doesn’t always breed competition, sometimes it breed resentment and discontent.

If the medical staff say Tupes will recover for next season then we run with him. If he can’t then that’s when we decide.

Even a less capable Bill is still a safer bet than some of the names that get bandied around.

It's probably true that Bill hasn't appeared to be at his best, but we need to remember that this has also conincided with the team in general struggling during this time, so it hasn't just been him. If the team continues on this upward trend then there's every chance that he'll improve from the last 18 months performances as well

I got the feeling it was Arundel's choice to call it a day at this level. He has suffered a lot with injuries over the last few years.
