Indeed. Clutch is knackered from all those doughnuts in the car park.

About what exactly?

The car is given by a 3rd party. No cost to the club
The coaches salary does not impact the salary cap, so does not affect the clubs ability to add players
The sum paid to Chester was not paid out of the income that goes to pay player wages so does not affect the clubs ability to pay players.

Seems to me it is simply a case of someone with an axe to grind trying to find something to moan about

He might have an axe to grind i don’t know or care. But the club only has a finite amount of money and some of that cash is now paying for two coaches for next year. Now maybe MC is paying him personally rather than the club, and maybe is was a lump sum rather than monthly, that is the nitty gritty i don’t know, i didn’t ask. But maybe Scarlett thinks that he could have invested that money elsewhere in the club if he wanted to spend it. You’d have to ask him that. Not sure why you mention the cap though given we don’t run a ‘cap’ because we are nowhere near it, we run a ‘budget’. So less money equals less budget which i guess is his point here.

Anyway as i said i’m done on the subject and as i mentioned when Homme Vaste departed also with this forum and RL in general now this season is over. I wish you all and the club well and the very best of luck. And fingers crossed the stadium build overcomes it’s remaining hurdles.

If we were talking about a members club then I can understand’members’ concern in the clubs financial dealings; it isn’t a members club however, and financial dealings with staff past or present have nothing to do with anyone other than those financing or managing the finance of the dealings.
Just let those who know better than us do their bit and we’ll all look forward to a new coach, ground improvement and hopefully a better season next year!

Spot on, it’s not a members club nor have shares ever been sold to the public as far as I’m aware.

The clubs history and heritage belongs to the fans and the people of Wakefield that will never change.

The business belongs to Michael Carter and whoever else is a director of what is a limited company.

Fans have no real right to know what’s going on. However it would be a stupid club that didn’t give as much info as is possible. I think the club gets the balance about right.

I remember my dad bought some shares back in the day. Share certificate printed on a dodgy bubble jet printer. Pre Ted but not much before.

Inside track on this one mate. I could tell you how much of a pay off he got from Hull KR as well if i wanted to but i'm i'm not. The exact terms of who and how i don't claim to know, maybe MC is paying him out of his own pocket to cut his lawn for him, but lets just say Chris isn't out of pocket and has a 'club' car (however it is packaged) for twleve months to carry the lawn mower in. And good on everyone in keeping it amicable. Time to let it lie and move on, which is what i'm doing on this subject. (and every other one to be honest).

Well why bring it up then, and more importantly what has it got to do with Wakefield trinity anyway, your posts are normally worth reading but in this case a pointless post in a pointless thread about a private agreement between an employer and an ex employee, as you say time to let it lie and move on.

I think I still have some of those share certificates - just a momento now.

One aspect not mentioned is the idea that even a verbal agreement can be argued about in court - at considerable cost to the parties. Personally I cannot believe either party would have gone to court but these possibilities have to be taken into consideration.

In terms if incomers, it seems there are a few props been offered to other clubs, Kane Evans from the NZ Warriors and Josh Bowden (Hull FC).

Evans is a big unit, enforcer who would go well over here I reckon. Bowden is an FC stalwart, solid SL prop.
