Did anyone else get the impression that last night COULD have been Dave's last game for us ??

I know he is contracted for another season, but as TRB said to me when Dave kicked that goal, it is normally players who are leaving/retiring that do things like that and, after he had given his shirt away at the end, when he came across in front of the North stand, he definitely had a tear in his eye and didn't look as happy as he normally does when we have just won ??

I honestly hope I am wrong, but I just feel that something wasn't right with him at the end of the game ??

Never crossed my mind tbh, Dave was just having fun and he always gives his shirt away.

It’s possible I suppose by to be honest o don’t think he’s the hot property he was a few years ago but who know, it’s a funny game.

Funny that, my son said exactly the same.

Yer. I just thought he was having fun.
People do that when it's their last game because they are retiring but he's hardly doing that.
He was just showing off, and it's great to see.

I thought it looked like he was just enjoying his rugby again and as for the conversion it was the last game of the season and we were well clear.

He usually goes to that corner at the end of a game, and I think it could well be the same family and the same little girl (I think it's a little girl) that he speaks to.
I didn't notice anything unusual. I agree that he probably took that goal kick because we had an unassailable lead. Mind you there was about 5 minutes left at that point so who knows :)

I thought the same but maybe he just sees himself as a kicker.with regards his shirt he gave it to the little girl who is poorly he actually had her name on it so really wouldnt read into that.really hope he aint going not that i think he is but its clear to see he lifts the players and fans and its more than clear to see he has improved again since the fans have returned ...still woukdnt be supprised to see his bro here

Funny or strange stat , whichever way you look at it.

David Fifita topped the tackle busts table in both SL and NRL.
Fifita at Titans did the same as our Big Dave.

I said that about Batch, last to leave on his own, seemed to be saying goodbye.

Chuff me what a negative set of fans, despair. Some of you seem to be able to find a negative in almost anything. It will be magpies and black cats next, it’s positively medieval.

Well I’ll carry on being optimistic and worry about stuff when it actually happens.

Anybody notice that TJ didn’t play despite being fit, obvious sign he’s off to Leeds

You know I was speaking to my best buddy MC earlier this week asking him whether he wanted to repeat the leaflet fund raising. He said no the club would pay this time as fans had coughed up enough.

All he asked was that the (so called) die hard fans go out and be positive in the next few month and encourage people to buy season tickets. I thought blimey that’s not asking much.

Well clearly it is. Makes me ashamed at times. It makes me look at the positive nature of most Cas fans and makes me wish I were one, which makes me even more ashamed.

Straight question. Do some of you actually want a successful club or do you actually enjoy wallowing in negativity? I don’t think some of you do.

It’s been a gruelling three years for the club but much of it has been out of our control. Now things are moving forward again, or they will do if people don’t keep dragging the club down. Success requires some effort from us all, as fans we need to move on and start talking the club up.
