Sadly, I think we have given out too many really long extensions in recent seasons, though continuity can be good, things can also go stale, which I think things have.

It could be one thing the incoming coach at interview stage, may have asked at the time, and who knows, they may have in mind who to keep or offload, and also may have thoughts who to replace them with.

Wouldn't be surprised seeing some movements part way through next season too, as some come off in 2024. Releasing players early as we know can be costly

Ah maybe that’s what I’d seen then, I was adamant that I’d read someone had worked for the club.

I worked on the schoolboy gate a couple of times in 80s.
You get told a code word once you've been on payroll that entitles you to insider information.
I know who the coach will be and actually the next one after him but I can't tell you unless you know the code.

I don’t even care if you’re mocking me, that was pretty funny.

I did work on the gate. That's a fact.
The rest is confidential so I can neither confirm nor deny. :D

Only gently mocking with a smile. No harm intended.

Why would an outsider change anything around any more than WP, sorry but at times you just don’t make sense to me. WP has been with us a year, he’s hardly embedded in the culture of the club is he. Virtually all his managerial experience comes from his time spent at other clubs.

He’s as likely to shake the club up as anyone else.

Truth is it wouldn’t matter who the club appointed I don’t think you’d be happy.

If he gets the job it’s a clean slate as it would be for anyone else.

That wouldn't qualify them for inside information, that info would only be available if you had a mate that was a fan of another club who had heard a definite rumour, that's when you know it must be true

I agree with this, I don’t see how WP can be held accountable for the good or bad things that have happened since Chesters departure. Should his application be successful then for me he must be judged on next year.

The season isn’t even over yet but I’m looking forward to the Boxing Day fixture, regardless of who is in charge.

You tell us missus your the one with all the answers apparently, and being involved with England and coaching the England knights, not to mention travelling round Huddersfield and learning from the best doesn't seem to have done him a lot of good as he still got the sack and still can't get a job, imagine that eh.

you are of course assuming he wanted another job. Would the majority of us work if we didn't have to?
Lets see how long it takes for Chester to get a job in International RL and another SL job and we can then compare.

Im just struggling to see why such as yourself seem to want WP over a proven coach like Anderson. I like WP, I think hes a nice fella, and has skill, BUT In the time he was at Hudds he never stood out, was pretty anonymous in the background and he never took on much responsibility or took control of anything, compared to Robbo who on paper was less experienced but was often spokesperson and took on a more leading role.
