I thought Ash Taylor had tried a stint at SL but didn’t like it and went back to Australia. The signings that appear to prosper the most are those that have gone through the NRL training system but are considered first team fringe players. I have been surprised by Manu Ma’u at Hull, he looked a one man wrecking crew at Paramatta but not anywhere near this at Hull, I would say however that he does appear to have improved over the last two games.
I struggle to think of many so called first grade Australian who have come over and not struggled which probably hits their confidence further. It therefore depends on the mentality of the player if they can force through the climatisation period or just give up and return home after one season.
I would be surprised and disappointed if we let Miller go because he is fairly resilient however, if you rely on Gaskell to fill the number 6, do any of us actually believe he would go an entire season without picking up an injury.
