I note we are only taking a squad of 17 to France due to one player being pinged and I presume another being injured. What happened to A Walker he was in last weeks squad but not this. If he is fit than he should travel because if we lose anyone else before the game we are down to 16.
I wonder does anyone actually think we will win this or are we heading for another defeat.

Cant see how we can be within 30pts of catalan to be honest esp if we have lost more players not sure what weather like over there but i hope its raining.supprised we havent done what other team have done and cancelled.....we need to be careful though i reckon thers a couple of wins in leigh and with this percentage crap who knows what could happen

Yeah just taking 17 cos from the 19 man squad we named one player tested positive and one isolating as a close contact from that so only got the 17 to take now, very risky like ya say if we get an injury in warm up.
Think we have got a chance depending on which 2 players we are missing hull kr really took it to em and really threw the ball about they've got some big guys have catalan and if you can make them work overtime by moving em around alot then gaps start to appear, but our defence as got to be on top form if not we won't win

If be amazed if we get anyway close, HKR have the game to cause them problems, we are so easy to read that the opposition know what we're going to do before we do. Tomkins, Malloney and Drinkwater will run us ragged.

With the games HKR have not played they are 100% fit, just can not understand how teams get away with it .Think there are just us and Wigan playing by the rules .Think it is back firing big time for us

On the subject of players getting ping, surely, you can swap players in/out of the squad as cover for this ?
Have to say, it seems crazy to travel with just 17 players.

I suppose we all hope that Chester will have a plan to trouble Catalan based on their recent score line against Hull KR. It is possible but sadly evidence suggests very unlikely and we will just lose again but by how many. I am a little surprised that some of the squad members have not highlighted our obvious shortcomings in team meetings because they must become despondent at defeat after defeat.
I am yet to understand the comment by Gaskell that he very much looks forward to playing our style of football. I don’t know who wrote that for him but they are obviously having a laugh because no one wants to play like us.

Why did we only name 19 in the first place? Surely it would have made sense to fill the squad for just this occurrence, even if it was with a couple of the fringe players like Bowes, Greensmith etc. They did ok the other week and the experience of travelling to Perpignan with the team would be good for them.
