Does anyone know when/who was the last player to play for england/GB who came through our youth system is..ive got in my head as ellis but as there been anyone since.i know TJ was in our academy but he came from leeds youth set up

Ellis I think came from Leeds, I would go with Westwood.

Ellis came from Cas Junior rugby into Wakefield's academy. Anyone who doesn't know that has had their cover blown!

What cover, I based it on the old fashioned system of memory not Wikipedia, I didn’t think that was controversial or are you really Gordon Otershaw who sits at the table going through trinity teams of yesteryear with your family.

There is a podcast interview out there where TJ explains that Leeds didn't want him when he was at Staningley, in fact, nobody did. He may have attended a few trials and open days but that's all. Then when he was about to quit the game Trinity offered him a trial and then a deal. Apparently, Leeds put in a last-minute bid but TJ was no longer interested. Ellis was signed directly from Lock Lane I believe, he was signed with Haughy and Feather, Feather I believe came through Leeds.
