Feather started at Leeds then left us for Leeds again before finally coming back.

I seem to remember watching Brought play once or twice before he got the sack, maybe a couple of pre season friendlies, but he certainly played.

Broughy was one of my occasional 'good spots', I took an interest in him early on and recall him weeping after Trinity lost the Academy final to Leeds which made me like him even more. So I'm fairly sure he never played first team, and it states the same on his Wiki page. Don't even think he got on the bench, may have done a friendly but tbh I don't even recall that.

There is no question that TJ was produced by us, his links to Leeds are utterly minimul.

At present, the club has never had more homegrown players of genuine ability in its ranks, certainly since SL began.

Regular first team

Max Jowitt
Tom Johnstone
Kyle Wood
Jay Pitts
James Batchelor
Jorden Crowther
Lee Kershaw

Fringe players (all have played first team)

Jack Croft
Yusuf Aydin
Oliie Greensmith
Harry Bowes
Conner Bailey

Yet to debut (I think)

Dane Windrow
Sam Eseh
Pat O'Donovan

That's 15 of our squad homegrown, seven of whom are regulars, one of whom IMHO is when fit IS the best in his position in the SL. To me, that's pretty impressive for a club that generally can't compete with the cheque book.

When you see it on paper like that i'd say it's quite impressive for a club like ourselves who financially are constantly juggling plates, although the other side to that is when you have no brass the best way forward is to try and produce as many homegrown players as possible. The other side to that is producing quality home grown talent is easier said than done especially if you have no brass so you're in a constant loop hoping that you get it right as a club. Looking at the above we're at least doing ok if not better.

I guess having an absolute beauty like Johnstone on the list is the icing on the cake

This in part is the rewards from the 1873 initiative it's really helped I believe in securing some great local talent

I you watched Shudders last night, no Sexer, Cogger, Gavet etc and they looked like a team with Passion and effort, hard to remember that at Wakey.

The same Shudds side who had just lost 6 on the bounce including one against Trinity, have a bottomless pit of cash, share a soccer ground and have a super coach at the helm? I saw them too but to me they were fortunate to hit a Hull side who are injury hit, lacking in match practice and coughed up probably one of their worst ever performances.
Lets see super shudds in their next few fixtures.

But yet we had 3 players in an England squad, and could have had easily 3 players if fit in the All stars team? Yet we are next to bottom in the league.........something doesn't add up to me?!
