I agree on both counts,
as far as the penalties go, I think that to decide the result of such a competition on penalty kicks is pathetic .
I know little about football and couldn't care less really, but I would have thought a better way to decide the result would be to reduce the number of players from each team by two, at the start of extra time - at least it would encourage a goal or two rather than resorting to individual mind games, which most of the team have no say in deciding the result! just my opinion of course!
