Thought we made some strange decisions yesterday for me I would have tried to get a roll on early so when I saw Brad Walker, Arona and Tanginoa on from the start I questioned this. In my opinion I would have liked to have seen us score first so get Fafita, Battye, wood on with the atmosphere put some doubt in the Tigers head. Ashurst has been going through the motions for 2 years now that was the icing on the cake last night what a shocking performance I honestly haven't seen him break a tackle in 2 years the inside ball to him never ever works runs like a wet fart, Batch Scored a lovely try on the crash ball against Leigh. I know Jowett was bad last night but improvements we have seen in him last 2 years will take my hat off allowed one bad game.
Very worrying how many times we go behind we have a coach that cannot change it/Mix it up a bit don't keep a terrible ashurst on for me battye / Fafita come into the pack get Tanginoa running out wide get some joy don't keep something that Isnt working on. But this is the Chester way.
Miller, Pitts, Fafita , Tanginoa give 1000% every week they must be frustrated with what some other players dish up.
Well to say you went to the game you obviously didn't watch properly then as Ashurst made a couple of lovely breaks in the first half alone and if Tupou and Johnstone hadn't of come back on the inside on one of the occasions and stayed on the outside we would have scored first, we never try the inside ball to him it's always a short flat pass at the line crash ball which 9 out of 10 he runs really good angles back towards the posts and usually pokes through the line, his defense is top notch tackles his booty off every game and definatly doesn't run like a wet fart but you clearly talk like one clearly you've got something against the guy he's one of our most consistent performers.
Battye is better coming off the bench same with fifita although I really like fifita we need to use him better he's standing too flat at the line not running onto the ball so most of time he's getting dominated in the tackle rather than dominating in attack and making the big breaks we used to see up until he got that leg injury in 2019 at Anfield needs to get back to them kind of performances again.
Max jowitt is a great little player yes he made a bad mistake on Wednesday but everybody does if we don't get that lad signed to a new contract then we're bloody stupid
