The cap is relative, Williams will now be based on value. That will out weigh his wage.

I’m sure I read that he would earn 1/3 of what he was earning in the NRL if he came back to SL when it was first announced he was looking to come home. Might sign for Wigan for nothing if he’s earned big bucks over there until something could be sorted for next year. Stranger things have happened.

Interesting watching NRL 360 on the Williams fiasco ,basically George is kicking off because Canberra released him immediately from his contract and cut his wage off accordingly instead of end of season where I’m sure he would have had a deal set up . Which leaves him coming home without a club or wage to drop into at this present time . According to the channel George had stated he isn’t fit to play siting home sickness ,so basically Canberra have cut their losses n said there is the door your free to go which clearly he didn’t want until the end of the season , but wasn’t willing to train or play for them . Looks to me like they’ve called his bluff and sent him packing .

NRL 360 talking a lot of b****cks. Canberra basically have just hung Williams out to dry. I don’t see them talking about the numerous NRL starts that leave their SL contracts early?

Williams trying to old man em I’m afraid n come unstuck as I see it reading between the lines Willzay . May be way off the mark but I think the wires will try n palm Austin /widdop off n drop George into the half’s when he lands .
