He's not built for Hooker. It would take a lot off his attacking game.
Of course had make a good stab at it but he's better being left as a 6.

Until last week I had no idea just how slight Miller is, would get battered even more than Woody does at times.

Funny how people are so bent out of shape about Arona and Tanginoa playing prop but have no problem Miller playing Hooker.

Josh Hodgson might be on his way back at the rate he’s going. If we trim the squad we might be able to afford his leg?

Talk about dream signings for us, we need a hooker and he’s as good as you could get

Josh will be able to pick who he comes back to though
His NRL runs being incredible, until this season that is

Shame williams will bow out of the nrl like this
He’s being brilliant, he was already excellent but he will come back a much improved player which is to the benefit of England

Just out of interest how big does a hooker need to be? At 14st and 6 foot Cam Smith is probably the best player of all time, never mind hooker. Rob burrow played hooker to an excellent standard. It’s not the size, it’s the quality of the individual in my opinion. Paul Gallen was 16 st and 5 foot 11, yet mullered 6 foot 5 18 stone forwards time after time. I agree on Miller staying at 6, but when size comes into to it I don’t agree.

It’s not size it’s build. Of course this can be overblown and I personally think it is at times. But at 28 and being relatively slight I’m not sure 9 is the right place for him at this stage in his career.

There are always exceptions, Billy Conway or Sam Obst.

So yes Miller could do it but why? He’s a very good S/O so why would we bother, makes no sense to me. I also think Hampshire could do it but again why, he already covers 3 positions very well.

If you going to convert anyone to hooker then Brad Walker is far more obvious a choice. Still young without a truly fixed position, why not in his case. He seems to have all the physical requirements and a good brain.

A lot of NRL hooker are the same build as Miller ie Damian Cooke and Harry Grant who are both starting Origin hookers, so you can see the way the game is going, though like I said in my previous comment I wouldn’t have Miller there as he’s played great when he’s been on the field there which is pivotal to keeping a consistent spine for us. Like you say Walker is a good shout to be there, I’ve only ever been impressed when I’ve seen him play.

I really really don’t see Miller as a hooker
He’s an excellent stand off

Oddly though I do see Rocky as a hooker
With his off the mark pace out of dummy half I think he’d be electric
Taking the line on is one of his many assets
I don’t see why he’s not being tried there, based on both Walker and crowther being given time in that position

Think Walker will make a fine lock too
Playing him a hooker won’t halm in his development though
He needs game time assuming he is going to take over Westermans shirt next season
