I have no reason to doubt you but I hope your informant is off the mark. Seems very underhanded if so and I’m sure if it would have to be an official visit working with and consulting with the club. You have to consider measures to mitigate risk other than simply reducing capacity also afterall through process. There appeared absolutely no issue on the day. I was in the centre of the northstand too.
I’d seriously hope the club challenge it if so. Especially if Cas have it increased. The stadiums in terms of footprint must be very similar you’d think so it would seem very bizarre.
I’ve sent an email to council customer service, asking what the capacity now is after their visit. I sent it as a general enquiry, don’t know how long it will take to reply.
I got told this afternoon that Season Ticket holders who registered for todays game don't need to do so for future games, just turn up with your ticket and you'll get in ?? I don't know if anyone can confirm this ??
Yes I asked the same question in the club shop after we put our name down for kr game I got told once your down it's for rest of season as a season ticket holder and that came from Darren who's the manager in club store
Typical bl*ody Wakey - Going and winning! Now I have had to fork out for a Shudds ticket for Mrs BG.....
You say "typical Wakey going and winning", it's been 15 bloody months, dont put the mockers on us now. : On the plus side, at least its at Wakey and not at their place, now, that would have burnt a hole in your wallet
Well, it's alright saying Huddersfield fans are coming, the government have named Kirklees with/in restrictions - no one out & no one in Due to indian covid, this being advice as it's spreading dramatically ? So Wakey is in the national top 10 covid - Kent variation ! You pays your money & takes your risk, I asked earlier on this post & it was put down ! But, if this runs after in wakey, don't winge ! Covid does not discriminate or reserve itself !
I can’t see that the number of fans would be brought down to 2800.
There was some decent space between fans, everyone was wearing their masks and as is said before it’s mostly open aired.
The government guidelines clearly state what we are allowed and I can’t see any reason we should be subjected to harsher restrictions than those imposed by the government.
I would also hope that if this visit took place that this has been the case across all rugby league and sporting venues across sports by local council officials. Because if it hasn’t then one has to question why Wakefield would be subjected to this visit and not other venues. Sounds a bit underhanded to me.
Not up at the back of the North stand they weren't!
The south end of the East stand looked less than spacious from where I was.

The 50% of capacity up to 4000 is a guide, a nice headline but not an actual figure so it can be less but definitely not over 50% or over 4000
