you do realise how big an are 'kirklees' covers don't you? and 80% of the areas with the highest covid rates are smack bang next door to wakefield council area, surely if we are going to worry about case rates we should worry about where they actually are rather than what silly council name they come under. There are only 2 areas of HUDDERSFIELD with over 10 cases yet the 4 'Kirklees' wards immediately bordering Wakefield ALL have over 15 and as high as 72, clearly the issue is geographically closer to Wakefield than Huddersfield regardless of what numbers are given for some made up name for a large area, anyone can see this so to pretend it isn't an issue anywhere near Wakefield is pretty silly, it is it's on Wakefield's doorstep.

Perhaps you should make a phone call and get the borders moved
I dont think that covid stops at city limits or fails to transmit to folk who happen to support Huddersfield and live cose to the city centre.
The point remains that Kirklees remains "an area of concern", with advice being not to travel unless neccessary, countered boy, "people should use their judgement" (whatever the hell that means).

Lets hope for some sunshine and a decent game and that EVERYONE stays safe. Oh and a Trinity win :D

Someone asked me to get them an e-ticket yesterday and East Stand Paddock was only area not sold out. I reckon if you bought a season ticket today you'd probably get in where you wanted.

Luckily I got my ticket for North stand early this week to avoid being disappointed. It seems that a few people are trying to get tickets but there’s no more available. You snooze you lose I guess.

Tell that to your fellow fan who seems to think that it stops at the 'kirklees' border and won't creep over into nearby wakefield, as i said the 'area of concern' is slap bang next door to wakefield whether you want to accept it or not and play stupid by pretending that 'kirklees' and it's infected areas are a million miles from wakefield.#

With rates been so high so close to your ground i'm probably safer staying in my area of 'kirklees' this weekend

It’s also slap bang next to Huddersfield abs anyone who lives in huffs will have to travel through it to get to Wakefield.
From a stats point the Kirklees NHS area are reporting 5 times the current cases that the mid west York’s NHS and Kirklees serves a 5th of the populous the Mid west York’s does, that means you’re 25 times more likely to become infected in Kirklees than Wakefield, whether you live in fartown Lockwood, birkby, minefield Batley or spenborough :thumb:

Hmm yes I agree tell it how it is in the highly populated overcrowded Asian areas of Kirklees they a high incidence of covid Indian variant just like the equivalent areas in wakefirld. I note that you haven’t highlighted upper Denby , shepley emley etc rural areas which have had virtually no covid cases for a year you have virtually no covid for 12 months yet still get lumped into Kirklees

I have no problem going into our local shops bars etc but am quite frightened coming into covid central areas like that around belle vue

There isn’t any “high incidence of the Indian variant” anywhere in the WMDC NHS area, there is no worries at all, not even in the small area of agbrigg that you are eluding to

You’re quite right in what you say and there is clearly no hidden issue with your post despite a silly attempt to make it appear otherwise.

It’s a sad world.

Again do you know how big kirklees is? it borders, lancashire, derbyshire, south yorkshire, high peak, i'm pretty sure there's no to little chance of catching covid in some of these areas, a hell of a lot less than say, the belle vue area of wakefield.
you lot really dont get it do you, do you think there's as the same chance of catching covid in say Scapegoat Hill 27 miles away from your ground than there is in Chickenley 6.5 miles away even though they are both classed as being in kirklees, an area created because someone decided to lump half of west yorkshire under the same council, using adminiatration rather than geography is pretty stupid, as stupid as lumping all of kirklees under 1 umbrella.
