Haven't they been given provisional 2 year licences or something similar? To be monitored during that period. Don't know about the funding though as the release says the 10 original Elite Licence Holders are unaffected.

You are right - maybe not for the reasons you think.

The weak RFL backing down and giving licences and central funding to 3 clubs, who have failed to run appropriate, productive academies, is shambolic.
