I like Bell too. After his showing against us I think he'd be an ideal replacement for JW. Strong hard runner.

Don’t need him. Arona has been a good 13 for us over the years and I’m sure he will go back to that next year.

We need to sort props and 2 x 9’s next year.

As it stands only Bowes is signed up for next season. Think we should be looking around for options other than the two Woods.

He’s in ridiculous try scoring form atm. Think it’s something like 7 try’s in last 5. Hrs a huge unit at 6ft 6 who could massively benefit from a full pro pre season. Think he can play prop and SR.

I don’t know if there’s any other forwards showing up well in the lower leagues but he seems to be grabbing recent headlines.

Arona has been a great signing for us but imo he's too slow and not good enough to play lf...work rate alone doesn't cut it and he slows the play right down when he's in the line...James Bell is definitely a better quality lf and is worth a shout... as is Peats on tonight's CNAS showing...kept it simple, tidy and quick from dummy half and showed Leeming how it's done...the only downside is his age and how that affects his running game, so he'd need a quick young hooker as a complementary interchange foil

It seems that many off contract players at most SL clubs seem in limbo.
It could be of course that players have reached agreements but the clubs are holding back going public.
What's also interesting is that a good number of out of contract Australians playing in SL seem to be returning back home without looking to extend their stay with another SL club.

Just been reading LE, Sadler column, mentioned the Hull fc Pearson, saying the 35% cut in Sky funding, will mean that clubs will have to offload, cut back the number of overseas players to try balancing the books. It’s an unsettling time for Rugby League players, not knowing what the short term let Alone the long term future holds.

Indeed
35% cut in Sky monies and income streams heavily affected by covid restrictions, EVERY club will be tightening their belts or they risk severe peril.
Perhaps if restrictions on attendances are lifted, it will help but, it's difficult to see a quick return to where attendances were 18 months ago, although, it would certainly be a start, together with opening up refreshment sales and hospitality.
Inevitable, everyone will be trying to reduce the wage bill, most of which is spent on the first team squad.

Most clubs seem to holding back, that will definitely result in a surplus of players.
Unfortunately RL offers very little to the vast number of teams with the regular 4/5 teams challenging for honours.
From a financial point of view does a club spend more money to hopefully break in to the top five or stay satisfied with not finishing bottom.
I don't see the present situation will Change for some time, that's bad news for the fan base.
