New Stadium Updates : Wed Dec 16, 2020 8:27 am
Thought I'd start this so folk can add any updates they come across so as to keep folk as well informed as possible, pin it maybe mods?

I'll kick off with this I found on the net, it's the architect's own site and gives a few more pics and bits of info, not much but a bit. Enjoy

Interesting that the North stand capacity goes to 3500 from the current 1500 (restricted), seems as though it will be enlarged at the NW corner.

Maybe but I suspect the main raise will come from relayed safe terracing. I'll tell you what though, it feels like more than 1500 are in it at times.

I'll be honest, it's hard to place things on those drawings, some of it doesn't look much like BV.

Thanks for the link Vasty.
The artists impressions look superb and everything remains crossed for the planning to get through quickly.
It's been a (very) long time coming.

Not Vasty, anyway.

Unlike other efforts, these look feasible.

Personally, I love it, basically, it's BV as it's been for the last 30 years but in modern form. All the familiarity and atmosphere retained but new or refurbished and fit for purpose. Above all it's affordable and the important corporate/community bit has been done first and the rest can be done in stages later on as cash permits.

One very obvious question having looked at the new stand. *where are the Hospitality boxes? I ask because I want to book a couple of tables for my 75th birthday, May 2022. :D

The existing flats are staying for now so I assume that's where the hospitality boxes will remain as there are none in the new stand as far as I can see. I'm assuming they are getting a re-vamp along with the Rollin Shack, even better they may even finally create a bridge from one to the other.

Thanks FC, but I don’t think that could be possible. The Current Hospitality flats are sadly, really not fit for purpose. I’m sure John Minards, indicated the new Hospitality area would be included in the rebuilt East Stand. I hope so anyway.

There is Q&A session with Mr Minards and Mr Carter on Thursday I think. Hopefully more detail will be discussed there and relayed to us fans.

We will see, but they are still on the plans with no suggestion that they will be removed. There are also no boxes in the plans for the east stand. I think they will remain for now. I do think however, weddings, parties etc will be done in the new stand.
