Planning application approved yesterday Don’t know if this is the one to help us with the stadium funding. But I’m sure someone will make a few Bob out of it.
Giant new warehouse on Newmarket Lane in Stanley, which developers claim will create 1,500 jobs, given planning permission A huge new warehouse to be built on former greenbelt land on Wakefield's northern edge has been given planning permission.
This is where it should of stopped a simple no more builds until they commit to the stadium as promised but of course the council don't give a toss.
Yorkcourt have just submitted totally revamped plans for the plot, changing the number of warehouses, size & layout etc, which will take time to process and consider. Don't expect it to hit the committee for consideration anytime soon.
Do you have a link for that information, I’ve had a quick look and can’t find any updates. Please bear in mind the piece of land for the Enabling development comes under “Plot 8 Newmarket Lane “ Thanks

I know which plot it is, it's all on the original application 20/02249/FUL in the documents section. They changed the designs for the plot at the end of August.
Looking at the size and depth of it this is a cracking solution for the WT. I dare say a standing terrace could run the length too where the blocks are shown to boost the 900 seater stand wherw it ro be implemented at BV
It's all the more frustrating when low level football clubs can manage to muster enough coin to develop their ground

I know a better solution but get the point.
Sometimes you just want to scream at WMDC 'WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE', there are plenty of cost-effective ways out there to upgrade BV to a reasonable level for community use. We are not after being the Wembley of the North, just a little inward investment used wisely and creatively.

Thanks for that SC, I’ve jhad a look at the site plan and the documents from SoS, who approves the planning application, (with the usual recommendations), there is an awful Olof information that the planning committee will havto trawl through.

Would make a nice west stand

Sure is mate. And by dumping a shedload more (and completely different to previously) over the last couple of weeks then hopes of a quick conclusion have disappeared into the ether. The date has already changed to the end of November. It is almost guaranteed to be after that, maybe heard around the start of next season if we are lucky.
