The Salford stadium main stand is 4,500 capacity, we have plans for 2,500 in the east stand so won’t look as extreme as Salford. Remember John mentioning in a Q&A the other main development potential at belle vue would be the south hospitality section where we have space to increase again

What is the situation regarding the new pitch, is it prior to the new East stand build or after the build?

Flipping he heck the plans have been available for over year, you should know exactly what it is, have you been asleep?

So no it’s not like Salford because that’s all new but would it matter if it was? It’s still way better than what we have now.

As it is it’s one new all singing main stand to replace the east stand and the crumbling terracing on the North stand being relaid with lovely straight and level concrete.

So half the ground being brought up to scratch.

It’s a start.

My guess would be after as the pitch could be damaged during the build.

Yup, I think that’s fairly common knowledge. Working on the huge assumption that it passes then the really interesting bit is the build date.

The start date I’ve been given is far sooner than I expected but like everyone else I say that with caution.

Just been having a good look at the latest document on the developers planning application https://planning.wakefield.gov.uk/onlin ... ab=summary Open link, tap document top right, click on 10th September, revised planning statement. There is a comprehensive list of subjects but number 8 to 14 I found very interesting and enlightening. The developers legal team really seems to be pushing the boat out to get their application passed, by using The community Stadium, Wakefield Trinity, the need for sporting facilities, the list is endless, also explaining the enabling development history, 106 agreements, Enjoy
