Drew is a far better hooker than 7 in my opinion - but thats not to say Obst is a half back though.

Exactly thats why I can't decide who I'd prefer in those positions, Drew is by far the best hooker we've got but I don't think Sam cuts the mustard at half back

Fair enough, although I would go with a makeshift 7 (Rooney) and stick Tony Martin back at 6 leaving Drew and Obst to rotate at hooker.

I prefer Latu off the bench to be honest, he adds that bit of spark and unpredictability

Me too, but I think he is better used as a 13 coming off the bench now he has bulked up a bit.

Ref: Grix, when/where would you play him? Obviously not on the wing, in with a shout of the 6 shirt perhaps? If he can't play on the wing, isn't good enough under the bomb for FB, not big enough for the pack where does he play? Maybe this could be his big chance to shine after he has had the rubbish end of the stick playing on the wing?

Totally agree with you on this I seriously think he could do a job at loose, given that he likes to jink about and is unafraid of taking the line on.

to be honest i've had my fill of martin at 6. too slow, too predictable, too many ineffective kick options. did a job admirably first few games there but now not offering enough.

sounds like no drew, so latu and the young lad who played at KR hooking, with obst and rooney halves. take the point about sam being a better hooker but dont think rooney and grix as a pairing is gonna get us anywhere.

keep george on the wing and actually pass the ball to him, with martin and atkins in centres. peterson or gleeson on other wing depending who's fit.
grix to rest this week, go get a haircut not been the same with that headband on imo.

He only has one but it is ineffective.

Grix is an ideal sub but i think we need some size on our bench on sunday, agree re latu but can drew do the full 80 at 9? If Drew is still injured then maybe pair Grix and Rooney in the halves. Sam at 9 with Latu covering 9 and 13 when needed.

A quick fix if Drew is injured.

Brough could win his appeal against suspension and hey presto.
