I dont know if it was just to fit in with other duties the squad have but the team was training on the pitch at Belle Vue at 5pm on monday, where usually the players would be home by then. John Kear taking the game very seriously? I hope so we need to play the Leigh game very profesionally.

Not arrogance and not meant to be insulting, most SL teams, when playing NL opposition in the cup, will play some of their fringe players and give one or two of their 'stars' a rest, we don't have any stars, but we do have good depth to a pretty good standard. I was merely pointing out the fact that most of those players in the squad despite being fringe players at the start of the season are now established performers in SL and as such make the squad for such a game look pretty impressive, but you take it as you like, no skin off my nose

I'd imagine Kear may rest one of Pitts or Bibb. The other player to be dropped will probably be between Hendo and George.

Surely this game is a good chance for Luke George to get some more game time?

I agree that we should take the game seriously, but why not also give a couple of players a chance to show their worth?
