The team is capable of competing and winning this weekend ,but the attitude must be right ,we’ve done it before and we can do it again, just need the players with the Wigan mentality and not the Cas one, and we are in with a shout . Never write Trin off ,we bomb spectacularly when expected to win and we also by the same token win games when no one gives us a hope in hell of winning . You can usually see in the first 10/15 mins if players are up for it ,or it’s yet another long day at the office . One things for sure if Walmsley and Paasi are still out courtesy of Asiata’s tackling technique then surely we have a chance of getting on the front foot in the forwards at least as we will be playing against old timers in LMS (37)and Roby (37) ,and as plenty have pointed out on here ,over 30’s are a waste of time in our game !!!!
We could have the edge in the pack but, our backs are simply not good enough.
Slow and poor service from the halves doesn't give them a chance and the quality in Saints 1-7 (and at hooker) is of an altogether different standard.
Nothing is impossible but, we need to have close to our best day and Saints would need to have an off day.
Right now, even without their two biggest props (especially Walmsley), Saints are on a roll and trying to secure a top 2 spot. And as others have pointed out, they will be looking to improve their points difference, which could be disastrous for us.
