Most clubs, as we know, are expected to go straight back down after winning promotion to super league. Our first year was 1999, theirs 2007, so we have had years ahead of them in getting it right.

We finished bottom in 2015, and didn't go down, we were so far off the pace it was unreal. In 2016, they went down, but finished,I think 2 places below us. They went down in golden point. How many times have we been scrambling and scraping on the last/last couple of times to stay up...several, they haven't.

On playing less games, was it always their doing, could we not have played smarter at times, and played the game.

Yes, lost by a record score, to an, at the time all conquering Leeds side, whilst battling in the middle 8's. In the same year, we couldn't beat a Leigh side, a division below us, when having a decent lead.

Like I said, I would hazard a guess, and say they have a greater win ratio overall, in SL games than what we have.

Sadly, like it or not, and I'm waiting for the usual meltdown from the likes of Vastcap, Chisels and Willzay, that I do agree with Batch and Aydin, that they stand better chance of Category A rugby and to challenge for silverware right now, than staying put

Don't hazard a guess - go on the year-by-year SL tables and have a look. Do your research and back your opinion up with facts (and with context).

I did, and I told you why HKR are not a step up from Wakey.

If you want silverware - fine, leave Wakey - but don't join HKR and say it's for honours. It's not.

That's the point I was making.

He's here claiming HKR have a much better record in SL than us, but fails to mention that for half of that time they weren't even in SL. I'm not sure what his motives are but the spin he's putting on this is ridiculous.

No motives whatsoever.

Prior to Hull KR getting promoted in 2006, we had to rely on wins on 3 occasions on the last game of the season to ensure safety. First part is hardly anything to write home about.

They have been relegated ONCE. We were very fortunate in 2015.

One other question, would we have kept our super league spot had Crusaders not withdrawn their licence application in 2011.

I did look at every single league table, and I stand with my initial point, right now, they are more likely to get category A, and challenge for honours, as things are at the moment, doesn't mean to say it will happen.

Think it comes down to how you sell the club to future signings.
HKR have shown intent for the new season whether that will lead to medals or a successful season, who knows.
For me young players will almost certainly look to move on while the club continues on its present path.
No ambition and the constant skint talk will only result of more of the same for the foreseeable future.
If your honest we probably have less to offer players than the rest of SL.

Just curious as why you are championing KR and building a case up for them being more successful? Why go to the effort.

Fact is there’s very little between the two in terms of on field results in the past 5 seasons. I wouldn’t bother looking any further than 5 seasons and doubt IMG would either.

I couldn’t give a stuff about KR myself. Batchelor I rate and would have like to see him stay. As a trinity product I hope he thrives but I’m all about Trinity.

We have a 12 million upgrade happening so in terms of facilities and training/player facilities it certainly brings us closer to our grade A. It may very well allow us to spend the cap or closer in coming seasons.

KR have also been very fortunate a couple of times also, had we not beat London on the final game of 2019, they would have been relegated then as well.

You seem to be letting a couple of decent seasons for HKR get in the way of a logically opinion of where they are on the field, for the previous 5 years they have finished below us in the league (by some way in a few of those as well).

Couldn’t disagree more to be honest.

If spending 12 million on upgrading facilities to be able to increase revenue and in the near future spend more on players and further facility upgrades to achieve an A license isn’t ambition then can you tell me what is???

The club are working to within their means but these upgrades will increase those upper limits. What’s been happening is both ambitious and positive.

I think some fans are thst used to being negative that they find it hard to shift gears.

Exactly, hull KR in recent history finishing positions are no more attractive than us on the field. I do believe the press release etc is a Hull KR spun thing as I think a few of their recent signings have said it. Probably just a line been spun to promote positive association.

Not really Chissels, I've had my fill of working within sports clubs and stadia.

Since Wakefield's first game in super league, we have played 633 regular rounds, with 231 wins. That is a win ratio of 36.49%.

During Hull KR's super league regular rounds, they have played 378 games, with 157 wins. That is a win ratio of 41.67%.

They're not challenging the top 4 with them stats, but it is definitely better than ours.

Wow, I bet the nights really fly by in your house.

Perhaps if you had been more successful working within these sports clubs the obvious chip on your shoulder wouldn't be as big, why don't you get a job dog walking, it's far more gratifying if that helps.

Forgive me for not supporting HKR like your good self.
