Wow ! Is there a magic money tree can we rapidly magic up some more.
Which also looks, when you try and think for "transparency", as a former employee of the club, shouldn't any kind of severance/disbursement fee be paid by the club.
It wasn't severance pay. He didn't sign the contract. Carter paid him out of goodwill as they'd verbally agreed before the results and fans turned. I don't have any evidence but that's how I understood it.
But it's all moot. He has been gone more than a year.

Well there seems to be a lot of smoke and mirrors around all of this. I do know how much chester was paid on his first contract, quite a good sum. If Carter has paid him out of his own pocket, then thats his business. However, the sum involved is significant and if it had gone on the team budget it would have helped for sure. Like I said, Carter business but he shouldnt then turn around and try and cover up all his failures with the excuse we have no money.
Another week of no communication from the club. Yeah, good luck trying to keep a decent sized fanbase in the championship next year with that atttitude.

What communication do you want? Applegarth has done plenty of interviews about the team.

Supported Wakefield for 20 years now. Me and my Dad (who has a platinum membership) have travelled up to almost every home game during that period. We have witnessed many poor patches of form in that time, but this is distinctly different to anything we have seen before. The lack of effort along with direction (game plan) is obvious to see. We now go to games not even hoping for a win but simply to see if we can score a point is where we have got to. The fact that the coach is still in place is truly astonishing. It seems as though the board have the same lack of effort/fight that we see in the team. To do nothing in this circumstance is as baffling as it is deflating. With every game that passes we get cut further adrift and is one less game for any new coach to have the opportunity change the culture and tac tics that may give us at least a glimmer of hope. Sheffield Eagles for me next year....at least they try...oh and they have an assistant coach there called Paul Broadbent...you know...a man who along with Kear did a great job at Wakefield...a man with SL experience as a player and coach...a man with international coaching experience with Italy...a man with presence and integrity........a man who has a mobile phone...that can take calls from the 01924 area.

I'm not sure that standing in front of the camera with a vacant stare for 9 weeks repeating the same mantra of "we're doing it tough but I can see the effort...we just need to keep going" is really much of an interview

They could start with announcing that the current coach has been removed from the running of the first team and we are actively undergoing a full application process and hope to have made an appointment by the Hull fixture. I have nothing against the current incumbent but he is clearly out of his depth and I see no sign he knows how to reverse the performances.

In effect we now have a three week break until the Hull game. We are never going to get anything at the Pies & Wire and we always lose in the cup. As you say, time for a reset and get a new coach in for the Hull game

I actually thought it was the cup at the end of April, but it’s the international break.
