Come on Vasty we havnt even started and yet already lost about 50 % of the terrace to be up graded. Plus about 1000 final capacity. Also lost the retail outles etc on north stand which will reduce match day income. Plus it will look daft having a stand covereing spare ground with no supporters. If they can pull off strokes like this ,they will get away with more and that is what worries me.
I'll 'come on PB' back at you.
Who on earth are 'they' and what exactly are 'they' gaining?
Do you think people are doing this on purpose or for some sort of gain, I'm confused?
It's hardly what I wanted to see myself and having looked at it now, it's worse than I thought, but with inflation and material costs through the roof so to speak I think it's blatantly obvious to me why this is happening. As dboy rightly states, the money is safe but it doesn't do is stretch. Since these plans were costed inflation has been at 10% probably more in truth, with material costs such as steal the main contributors.
The staggering truth is that Trinity have yet again been stunningly unlucky with their timing. With Covid delaying the project thus allowing it to start as the world economy collapsed. I'm a bit surprised to be telling you tbh as I'm certain you already know all this.
As over spends go we are still doing well, had this been a government initiative you'd be getting a portaloo at this point.
I know Mr Carter and the club in general have managed to alienate themselves from a lot of fans in recent years and in some respects I understand why but facts are facts and they are not to blame anymore than the Council or the contractors.
