Possibly 2 more props and a half may have to do for now. Then DR will fill in any injury gaps, until players become available. Would not surpise me to see the likes of Eseh and possibly Hampshire back here for a game or 2.
He was horrendous at FB and I believe dropped about 3/4 bombs at Salford. Kay on the wing for me.
I don't think he was, well he may have been in that game, but in others he was OK. He's last ditch at FB, but he's still useful. He's also useful cover for the halves and especially at nine. In SL but especially in the Championship, not every player in every position needs to be brilliant every game. Sometimes competent will do, and Kay gives you that. I think we are spoilt a bit with Jowitt, he has his faults, but under the bomb he's one of the best in game.
I am a bit baffled as regards the highball comment, in that as a winger he will take nearly as many of those in a game as a FB, so surely that makes him a liability on the wing as well? Just a thought, not a criticism.

I really like Kay, I think he offers us phenomenal cover, just on the day at Salford he was poor under the highball, he can be excused for playing 5/6 positions last year. Applegarth actually highlighted over using Kay in various roles and mentioned the Salford match at the last fans forum I went to. On the highballs, as a winger I believe the kicks that you deal with are more controlled direct kicks to the corner for an aerial battle, for the fullback they are spiral, flat etc bombs that are more difficult to deal with. Just my Opinion and nice to debate

Exactly. Having a player like Kay who can do a job in a few areas is invaluable. I have a real good feeling that Pratt may show up well and be a bit of a bolter this season.
Think we will start the season with under 30 players. The squad we have already is more than capable on paper in the championship. Dual registration will cover any emergency gaps and enable us to bide our time and get the right players in as the season progresses. no need to rush now and sign everyone at once, a lot of gems are uncovered from Australia when the seasons underway and they are not getting game time

In his interview I'm pretty sure Powell said a starting squad of 34. How that is composed and who is included I couldn't say.
