Just a few random points here and ideas. Something I would personally like to see and perhaps could be looked at as options at some point. Maybe at the next meeting.
I saw on social media a poll on whether programs are worth persevering with on match day. This got me thinking about what I would like to see and what would sell.
So, would I buy a programme on a regular match day? The answer is no. And I’m pretty hardcore as a fan as are most here I’d suspect.
I would however buy it if there was a unique selling point such as…
A 2025 sticker book collectible - something for example like the old pokemon books or old football sticker books.
Pre season all sticker books are sold. Each match day there are 3/4 baseball style cards with each programme sold. Each one on reverse some career short details and front a players position etc.
Would I buy it then? Yes, I probably would as a collectible. I’d even pay £5 or so every match to fill my collection up.
The first one of the season could include an official trinity pin badge too.
That is the old reason I would consider buying a programme these days.
I don’t know if something like that is possible but it could be popular with kids and adults alike.
A programme in this day and age just wouldn’t sell as is.
Just a random thought that came to me this evening.
It may seem trivial but ideas like this cost nothing and can really promote engagement between club and fans of all ages. Collectibles like this are becoming a thing of the past but when you look back at them from years ago they generally mean something.
