Deffo deluded no doubt about that yes i got my facts wrong im man enough to admit it it spose and yes we squeezed past london on that night
But it doesnt alter our recent record and performces are poor go ask any fans who dont follow wakey and they will have us down as chance relagation candidates.which as like some im not deluded i can live with that i do qorey what leigh can achieve weather they will or not will be there to be seen i am not having ago at any player i actually think chris and mc re doing a great job under the circumstances esp with lowest budget out there.
But i will stand by my initial post i feel leigh out of all the teams promoted are best equipped to stay in sl due to the decent squad thay have built and the finances to go out and further improve
What finances have they built, they have been on the edge of going under for years, only Derek Beaumont keeping them afloat. However let's make this clear, Derek Beaumont is not a wealthy man in the same way as say, Ken Davy. He couldn't bankroll Leigh last time and in these days of COVID he won't this time either. I think you're a bit of fantasist.

Anyone who states “a fact” that is most definitely wrong is most definitely deluded HTH
Firstly, I'm no friend of yours deluded or not Secondly, we didn't lose the game so your comment means zip Lastly, you stated it was a fact, it wasn't, you were wrong, my deluded fellow forum member
Completely disagree, to say his comments mean nothing because we won a game that we had to to survive is bizarre, we were one game away from relegation, whichever way you look at it or however we got there I would not like to be in that situation again!
As we have all discussed before, that stems from a number of elements but recruitment is no doubt one of them, Chester has got a couple of decisions wrong over the past couple of years (and some very good ones granted) and he got it wrong at Hull KR, we don`t have money to be thrown about which I imagine makes it all the harder but we need to get it right. I have no doubt KR will be vastly improved given Smith has the chance to build his own side, they looked a lot better as soon as he come in, IMO he is one of the best coaches in the league and that will show next season.
Did or did we not go into the game with london where a loss would or sorry could of sent us down just cos maybe a couple of other results went our way does not alter things does it So my deluded friend fact that im not a trinity supporter is more than false i attened my first game i can remember in 1987 when we gained promotion and we beat wigan hull znd warrington in thd first few weeks i was at shefffied for first ever gzme st don vally stadium when players not involved had a foit race round the track.my happiest though was been stood on kop st ellznd rd winning yorkshire cup before the invention of sl

Wrong, unless we'd have lost by 115 points we still wouldn't have been relegated. However, my comment about what the poster put meaning nothing, was in relation to the "fact" that he stated it was a "fact" that we finished 2nd from bottom the last 2 seasons, which I pointed out the his "fact" wasn't a fact so his comment means nothing, however if he had put "we were 1 game away from relegation fact" I may have had a different response, even though if the other results remained the same we still wouldn't have been relegated. The stars were aligned that night and we lived to fight another day. HTH

So you are telling me we weren't going into that game either needing a win or banking on other teams to win? Maybe my memory isn`t serving me well but that is how I remember it.

We finished in 9th on 22pts with a points difference of -115, Hudds finished in 10th on 22pts points difference -205, KR finished 11th on 20pts with -230 points difference with London on 20pt, if we'd lost London would have be 10th on 22 points and unless they had beaten us by 115 points we would have be 11th and KR bottom, those are "facts"
I'll address the "deluded" tag I've been given as I didn't really before. At no point in the last season or on this thread have I stated that we were a top 4 team, I haven't said we needent worry about Leigh (or any other team) I do think we have a task in front of us and if we play like we did for the majority of last season o right suffer a similar injury crisis to that 2019 then we will be in trouble. Just another "fact" that our fellow forum member seems to have found to be I tad innacurate
Anyone else think that Fev were hard done by here ?
Their on field performance has been as good as any other club in the Championship and they havent gone through the boom n bust that so many other clubs have. Plus improvements to their ground etc.
I realise that they will have been marked down, due to their proximity to ourselves and Cas and realise also that they will never pull in huge crowds. However, surely, they deserved their chance in the top flight, even if it was only for next season ?
