Even so, Sinfield, as captain, should realise his side were being penalised repeatedly for particular offences and go on to tell his team mates to cut it out (presuming they don't have the brains to stop giving these silly penalties away without being told by Kev). Adapt to the referee.

Indeed. You can't help thinking that "needs to be able to talk to James" really means "needs to be able to tell James where he's going wrong". Can't blame the ref if they're not smart enough to take the hint.
