A better council with a better leader though that wouldn’t be difficult so all things are relative.

A club once bitten twice shy.

There are far more safeguards in place than last time. I wish that meant I could say it was a definite but from the little I know I can’t. All I can say is the sums involved are smaller relative to the gain so in this case it looks like it might be easier for the developer to play it straight.

Fingers crossed.

This what I don't get a simple provide what was agreed or just move on and bring in another developer for the city, its the council that was the failure to enforce it and just allowed to continue

Correct.

I never understood Box motives as NM could have been up and running years ago. People go on about back handers but I see no evidence. Ditto political motive. Truth is I think Box in particular didn’t push it because he simply wasn’t interested and because he had a huge ego he did it to prove he could do as he wanted, total p*llock imho.

Newmarket behind Thorne Park and Durcar.
Anyway still behind the black ball, after how many years.

How are we still behind the black ball, when this is the closest we’ve ever been to at least getting somewhere.

I accept realism but does everyone have to be quite so negative. There are a lot of people working tirelessly behind the scenes, it might be nice just occasionally to show a little support and encouragement.

It’s probably not how you meant it to sound but in the only request I’ve ever received from MC it was that we the fans talk the club up in a positive manner. Let’s try or at least let’s not get upset until bad things actually happen. :thumb:

Maybe behind the blackball, but still in the game. For a while it looked like we were completely of it. There has been a lot of hard work to get us to this point, hopefully it comes off.

from that photo it looks almost acceptable until you get up close in the light and walk around, the work done on the floodlights is brilliant and will feel the improvement in the finances over time

at the time of stadium improvements CB showed interest in putting doors on front and building steps to it to open access to the cats bar but would of been a big expense and in need of a safety cert in which I couldn't supply but I thought it would of been a good idea
