Tell you what. Looking at the accounts of Ellis’ company, he has the money to easily make you a top 6 SL team if he wants to spend it. I would say only Leeds, hudds, Warrington, Saints and Wigan have an owner as rich or richer
I would say the the Ellis family fortune is easily comparable with those you mention, did you take a look at the holding company as well?
I agree with your thanks to MC and JM. I appreciate we're relegated, but we go down with finances in a stable position and a ground that is far superior to what it was albeit, work still to be done. Mick Carter has had some stick on here and some criticism was justifiable, regarding his recruitment of players, but I for one haven't forgotten that he saved our club from extinction. I will be forever grateful for that. JM came on board later but has got the best deal he can from that shambles before, of Yorkcourt etc etc - and he HAS produced a lot of what we wanted from seemingly getting nothing. So, to all those making harsh, hurtful comments about these two guys, let them bow out with dignity and their heads held high, because they deserve to. Or, you could always look at yourselves, which is often a good yardstick, and ask yourselves if you could have done any better. Probably not eh?
Agree with all that and more M C and J M have turned a dump of a ground into what looks like been one of the best RUGBY Grounds .As I have said, there as been a vendetta against them but the true Wakefield fan can appreciate the hard work they have put in .Really exited for a brand new start .This takeover could be the difference to getting 3,000 plus fans at games,in and none of it would have happened if M C had not stepped in

Vendetta? Several (yes several, not hundreds) fans continued a vociferous opposition “campaign” (sometimes unfairly) toward MC and JM which included both valid and invalid points of order.
Isn’t a vendetta about avenging death or something like that? Please let’s move on.
I being not a true supporter by some completely insane definition am actually looking forward to how the new owner runs the club both on and off the field compared to the true supporters incumbents.

Based on what? You know nothing about the new guy.
So why not leave the digs at the people who got us here alone now.

You got your wish. Move on.
I think that maybe all supporters will need to learn a new mindset after 10 seasons under the current owners. I agree they have overseen our relegation, all I am saying is let’s wait and see you never know you might appreciate the changes whatever they turn out to be. I may not know the new owner but he clearly has sufficient finances which any club needs especially when IMG’s rating comes into effect. He had enough to bring in Powell compared with the option taken and continued with by the incumbents. I am however no less a supporter just because I was fed up with how unprofessionally the incumbents ran the club and that will not change.

Scarlet, while I am no Carter superfan, just bear in mind there probably wouldn't be a club for Ellis to buy without him.
And not having millions of pounds in your back pocket is hardly being unprofessional.
Also, not your fault of course, but actually in the IMG world, you have lost some value as a supporter. Previously, when you bought a season ticket but couldn't go you still added to the attendance and finances. You now won't be counted on attendance unless you take your seat.
And a club already scoring well on IMG. No previous owner has ever taken over a club in such a promising state, off the field.
Yes but we need the additional finances he brings to sort out the less than promising state they left with regards our on field state both with the squad and coach. The one will not guarantee our SL return we need both to be successful. Do you believe the current incumbents have enough business acumen to maximise the off field revenue and produce a squad capable of maximising the points available or even run a full time squad.
