Well done to Michael Carter, I think you've made a great decision in quick time, which is what was needed.
I feel that Chris Chester was unfairly sacked from Hull KR and wasn't given enough time this season. It wasn't his fault the team had, and still does have such a large number of injuries especially in key areas. He was successful in his time at KR and had the respect of the team (I think they may regret getting rid of him). Being a Wakefield lad, he wears his heart on his sleeve and breathes Trinity so I am sure he will do his best for the club, because he cares. If an unknown or Aussie came across, it would just be a pay day to them, they wouldn't have the passion which Chris has got.
Hoping he gets some strict training systems in place, and has the guts to put the lazy players in their place. There are too many in the team who can't be bothered and think they can keep getting paid their thousands per month for just turning up, its not good enough. For the everyday fan who spends their hard earnt money on being loyal to the club it is not acceptable to not try your very best every time they put on the shirt. The should prove their worth and play with pride and passion, and hope that CC will bring that out of them. Those who don't want to, get rid of em and lets see a team that actually wants to play.
Very pleased that John Kear will be coming back to Wakefield next year, and hope that the club is on the up by then. With his knowledge and experience I think he and CC will make a great team, and with MC backing I see a rosier future.
Good luck Chris, sure you will have the backing of alot of fans.

I hope Chris Chester does a half decent job at WTW.
He had his good moments with us at Rovers, but I was among the many here who was calling for him to be sacked and was mightily relieved when we stood him down. Most of us feel he had lost the dressing room, which in turn contains some players short of the sort of pride and passion in the shirt you describe. The main reason is his perception of those players. He thinks many of them are better than they actually are and as a result has never come down hard enough on those who underperform. He blows too much smoke up arses. His recruitment record is below average, especially given the free hand he was given here by our BoD to rebuild as he saw fit post Sandercock.
Therein lies the conundrum. On his day, he can get the team up to play out of their skins, but Hull KR have never been able to play with the same flair and intensity since the Wembley debacle and capitulation last August. The hangover continues into this season, hampered by injuries and underperformance.
Obviously he will inherit a side built by previous incumbents at WTW and he could kick-start a backs to the wall, siege mentality ethos, but he will be unable to tease added value out those lazy players you say you have or those who are not good enough for SL. Those players with fire in their collective bellies and who are up for the challenge will most certainly thrive under Chezzie.
Good luck for 2016 and beyond. SL needs clubs like Wakefield and Hull KR.

As a lifelong and loyal Hull KR supporter brought up on East Hull, I honestly think that Chester should have been given longer, however what will be will be. Lets hope Webster can get them into gear and that something can be done to sort out our half backs.
I must admit to being underwhelmed but no surprise really since I heard last week he'd already been offered the job for next season before BS resigned! Good move however with regard to JK, just a shame not here immediately but can understand his reluctance to leave his Batley boys this year.
so now we know ...Chris Chester lands the toughest coaching job in super league I rekon. Good luck in the hot seat.. Think we need to get behind him and give the lad some support.. Read all the negative stuff from the usual suspects on here..try giving him a chance eh!.. And I don't mean just against hull on Friday.. We were all prepared to give smith time, lets afford Chris Chester the same.. Great getting John kear in to front up the rugby side of things.. We needed a rugby brain to help move the club forward and John kear certainly fit the bill there..
