not to put anyone in any trouble,i will not release names, but a friend of mine, who is company secretary for a ''local'' business, says her boss has tendered his ''families'' interest in taking over wakefield,on the basis, that the current board,ALL leave, and that ''they'' gain a 100% shareholding in the club.they have asked for access to the clubs accounts.personally i don't know a lot about them, but my friend says they are nice and honest people.don't know what any of you lot know on this, but i hope you get sorted out,as we enjoy visit's to your place.

Sounds like the France family to me, we all know there has been interst in the past and that one of the conditions of them buying the club was that Ted and family leave.
I sit here with my shares waiting for the call to be bought out…100% control of the club sounds a dangerous was to go down, not that it's much different to 'the family' owning the controlling share now.

your not far away there!!!!! from what i have been told, they expect to be able to have an offer accepted, below the price indicated by the current board, which is pretty obvious!!! my friend sent me a text earlier, saying that the ''family'' are in a important business meeting away from the company premises. she seems to think it sounds quite promising.
I am a shareholder of the club, all be it very minor but shareholder all the same. Where would this leave me with my shares?
I suppose it depends on how much of the club any potential investors want to buy, if he just wants to buy out the majority shareholder then you keep hold of your shares, if they want 100% of it then I'm sure a paltry offer will be made to the many smaller shareholders.
Of course if they buy out the majority shareholder and who happens to own over a certain percentage (90%?) then the new investor will be forced to purchase the remaining shares.
Jimmyfivebellies - you've not really done well in keeping the name of your friend secret when revealing their job title and all but confirming who they work for!
If somebody buys a certain percentage of a business ( i can't remember the exact amount) then they are obliged by law to make an offer for the remaining shares.
I think Jonathan France would be a superb new owner of the club!
He's a local man and has what now amounts to a long term interest in buying Wakefield Trinity, I'm sure he's spent enough time around the club and in the company of its employees to have a decent view on what’s good and bad about the place.
He can also call on the knowledge of Steve Ferres for further insight into people and processes at the club.
His financial commitment is unquestionable when it comes to backing his sporting assets and he will mix and rub shoulders with people who are of the same ilk and affluence as himself. That may lead to further investment from other parties at some point in the future!
I would hope that he's not the only potential new owner but if he were I wouldn’t be disappointed.

But what about his ties with Dewsbury ? Is he allowed to take over whilst sill sponsoring and having the ground name after them too at the Rams ?
